Thursday Night Gather with Friends.

       We invite you to our tearoom for a light dinner, tea, and conversation with friends. We offer you our chef’s choice organic dinner from 6 pm to 7 pm. We stop serving at 7 pm so that our speaker may enjoy our full attention.

 

                    EVENT TIME IS 7:00 to 8:30 p.m.

All our food is home-made with an eye towards creating the lowest negative imprint on our planet…Organic, local (where possible), seasonal and healthful. No reservations are required. Events are FREE, unless otherwise indicated.

January 26th  Poetry “Open Mic” with Annie Kelleher

Winter is the time to go inward…and there is no better way than the reading and sharing of poetry, yours or someone else’s. Polish up your poetry, short essays and flash fiction, and grab your moment in the spotlight or share your favorite poets, poetry or short fiction with others.  Hosted by multi-published novelist Annie Kelleher, this slam is open to all. Just show up. Come pull up a chair and join us!

 

February 2nd:  “Garden of Beats” Drum Circle hosted by Conga J. and Justin Bytell   7:30 to 9:00 pm – special time for drumming  (1st Thursday of Every Month)  Jami RETURNS…Thank you to all who come out to drum. Drum Circles are spontaneous and about the moment. They provide physical and spiritual benefits, particularly stress relief, and act as a creative outlet, a moving meditation, and an immune booster. Play your own drums or use on of Jami’s.   No experience is necessary. All ages are welcome. Bring your kids, bring your parents, and bring yourselves. “Every person has a heart, every heart has a beat, come be a part of our Garden of Beats.”

 

February 9th: The Heart Center:  Herbs, Teas and “SHEN”  in celebration of Valentine’s Day with Traditional Chinese Herbalist and Aromatherapist, Lisl Huebner

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, the spirit of the HEART is called the SHEN; it connects us to the SOURCE. The Shen needs to be deeply nourished by the Yin and the Blood in order to help us stay centered, calm and compassionately open.
